 I started making body butters for myself and gave some to friends and soon realized people liked them. I really loved using goat milk soap and I think in the back of my mind soap was always the end goal. It’s a process and takes trial and error but I fell so in love with soaping and making skincare products. The ingredients are simple but affective. My soaps might not be pretty but they aren’t meant to be, they are meant to be used and enjoyed. That’s why the soaps will all have the “ugly soap that works” quote on it. 

 

My original name for my company was Lord's Luxuries. Some of you may know this but for those who do not, my last name is Lord and although I love my last name, I didn't feel the  label fit me. I thought long and hard about what meant a lot to me. I always come back to wolves. I have loved wolves for as long as I can remember. The way they're so family oriented and work together for survival. It reminded me of how much my family and friends, who might as well be family,  have helped and supported me through this whole process and I'd do anything for my family too.

Louve means she wolf and in my heart I feel like a fierce she-wolf

 

Lavande (la-vond) is Lavander, in the majority of my products I try to stick with essential oils. I love the benefits of the oils and not to mention they smell delightful!

 

I used Apothecary because even though my products may not be medicinal I think that self care is a vital part of mental and physical health.

 

The butterfly is for my sister Stacy who passed away.  I miss her every day. She was a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend and so much more. It’s important that we never forget our loved ones.
